da bet7: As reported by The Sun, Liverpool are targeting Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook as a potential replacement for Emre Can.
What’s the story?
da prosport bet: With Can’s contract expiring at the end of the season, he’s expected to depart Anfield for pastures new, leaving a massive hole in the middle of Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven.
Good news then for fans that the club appear to be pro-active in finding a replacement.
The Sun report that Klopp is eyeing £20m-rated Lewis Cook for that purpose, a Bournemouth prospect who is showing significant potential in the Cherries first team this term.
The paper say that the Reds having tracking his progress for years, back when he was at Leeds United, with scouts continuing to watch him this season.
Is he a player that be a star in the Liverpool first team?

Is he good enough?
It’s always difficult to know how young players adapt to life at a top four side after establishing themselves at mid-table outfits, but Cook is certainly showing he is on the right track currently.
At 21 years of age, he already has plenty of senior experience under his belt at Leeds and Bournemouth, becoming a firm fixture in Eddie Howe’s team this season with 23 appearances.
A primarily defensive minded midfielder, his form has been good enough this season to receive a senior England call-up having represented his country at every age group from U16s up.
Whether he can immediately replace Can is debatable, he’s far from the finished product. However, learning under Jurgen Klopp could be perfect for his development and we’ve seen this season with the emergence of Andrew Robertson that young British talents have a lot to offer Liverpool.
If he’s available this summer, it’s a transfer certainly worth considering.
