Roma have completed their second signing of the season by bringing in Evan Ferguson from Brighton on loan with an option to make the move permanent.

Ferguson will wear the No. 11 jersey, with Roma confirming his arrival from Brighton on a loan deal with an option to buy in their official statement. The move is a historic one as he becomes the first ever Irish player to have joined Roma.

Ferguson joined Brighton in 2021, netting 17 goals and adding six assists. A series of injuries stalled his progress, leading to a six-month loan at West Ham. While Roma had also shown interest in Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund, they ultimately focused on Ferguson, securing his approval to join.
